CAR STOLEN

A car has been taken from the drive of a house on Florin Gardens Long Eaton. The incident occurred between 10pm on Sunday October 30th and 6am the following morning. The occupant left the vehicle locked on the drive but didn’t lock the front door of the house. The key was put on a hook near the front door. The following morning the key and the car had gone.

VAN TAKEN

A van was stolen from outside a house on Longmoor Road Long Eaton between noon on Saturday October 29th and 2.30pm the following day. After staying overnight with a relative the occupant returned to find that the kitchen window had been forced and the keys to the vehicle missing.

FIREWORK ATTACK

Police were called to the Dales Estate after a firework was thrown into a shop. The incident occurred just after 6.30pm and paintwork and a basket inside the shop, Dhavina News, was damaged. A police spokesman said two masked youths were seen running from the store. The owner of the store said “It was lucky it did not happen a few minutes earlier as the shop was full of young children. Anyone with information is asked to call police on the new number 101.

BREAK IN

A house on Wilsthorpe Road Long Eaton was broken into between 7.45am and 4.45pm on Friday October 21st. Thieves entered the house through a back door. Five bracelets, cash and a laptop were taken.

SHED FIRE

Firemen were called to Wilmot Street to find trees, pallets and a shed ablaze. The incident occurred just after 11.30pm on Friday October 21st. Firefighters were at the scene for 40 minutes. A spokesman said that the most likely cause was arson. No one was injured.

CRIME SCENE

A house was broken into on Milldale Road between 8am on May 28th and 9.45 on Thursday June 2nd. Entry was gained by forcing the Patio Doors. The house was searched but nothing was taken. Police think they may have been disturbed.
