JAIL FOR ARSONIST WHO TARGETED EX'S HOUSE

A man has been jailed for six years after setting fire to a shed at an ex-partner's house.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday 16th February on Station Road, with the blaze from the initial fire causing damages to a nearby house where five people were sleeping.

Damages included melted window frames, drain pipes, guttering whilst several windows were also cracked.

No one was injured in the incident and Marc Casswell was shortly arrested nearby, having also stolen a mountain bike from another house on the street the same night.

Marc Casswell, 23, pleaded guilty of reckless arson,  breaching a restraining order and theft of a bicycle and was sentenced to six years.
