VEHICLES DAMAGED IN SANDIACRE
Police are appealing for information in relation to the recent criminal damage of cars in Sandiacre. In the month of November, three cars had their wing mirrors damaged or broken off on Kings Road and King Edward Street. In addition officers received five calls for service in relation to a large group of youths hanging around King Edward Street and making their way down Longmoor Lane. They were reported to be causing anti-social behaviour as well as throwing stones at parked vehicles and running over the rooftop of parked cars.
 
Officers believe in each case that it is the same group of youths responsible for the damage.PCSO Laura Buchanan from the local Sandiacre Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team is appealing for members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour as soon as possible. PCSO Buchanan said:
“ I’m also asking that parents be alert to what their youngsters are doing when out and about roaming the streets, someone knows who these youngsters are and it is our aim to identify them and take positive action.”
