Public urged to be vigilant after dog walker is spotted shooting at wild birds. Police are asking members of the public to be on the lookout for suspicious activity after a man was seen shooting at birds near Shardlow.
The incident was reported to police on Tuesday, January 7th after a walker saw the man firing an unknown weapon at a seagull earlier that day. It took place along a footpath close to Shardlow Marina, off London Road, Shardlow, and comes after reports of similar incidents where swans were targeted in Long Eaton.
The man in the Shardlow incident was described as white, of large build and possibly aged in his mid-30s. He was walking a Jack Russell dog.
