FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN BREASTON

A 69 year old Long Eaton man died when two cars collided in Breaston. The accident occurred at approximately 8.50pm on Monday 10th February on Draycott Road at the junction with Marlborough Road. Two vehicles were involved a Silver Vauxhall Astra travelling in the direction of Long Eaton and a Blue Ford Fiesta travelling in the opposite direction towards Derby. As a result of the accident the male driver of the Blue Ford Fiesta died at the scene as a result of his injuries. Police have arrested and bailed the driver of the Vauxhall Astra pending further enquiries. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses to the accident or anyone who may have seen either of these vehicles prior to the accident taking place.
