BURGLARY THE TOWNS BIGGEST WORRY

Derbyshire police conducted 150 questionnaires in Long Eaton Market Place and the results showed that residents are more concerned about criminals breaking into their homes than any other crime. 39% of those who took part voted burglary as their biggest worry. Other concerns were underage drinking and drug-taking. Crime commissioner Alan Charles said:- "Burglary rates have fallen significantly over the past 10 years and my job is to ensure the force continues to tackle burglary proactively.”
