A Long Eaton pub has been robbed three times in the space of 24hours. Thieves targeted the function room at Stage One on Derby Road. The thieves one aged around 25 and the other slightly younger struck the first time at 8pm on Saturday evening. They entered the empty function room and stole bottles of spirits before leaving through the Derby Road entrance. On Sunday afternoon at 5.45pm one man came in through the Derby Road entrance and again slipped into the function room where he let his accomplice in through the rear entrance on Oxford Street. Not content with the first two robberies the cheeky thieves returned again at 6.50pm the same evening to finish the job off. All the spirits from the bar and the optics were taken between £500 and £600 pounds worth in total.
Landlady Shell told the Extra: “They obviously thought it was easy so they came back for more. Unfortunately for them we have a cracking CCTV system here and have handed footage and pictures to the police.”
