LONG EATON BUSINESS TAKES TEA WITH TREETOPS

Staff at Routen Chaplin, an insurance broker in Long Eaton, are backing a fun new fundraising event for their local hospice. It’s called Tea for Treetops, and encourages businesses, friends, schools and community groups to hold a tea party to raise money for Treetops Hospice.
Pat Wileman, company manager at Routen Chaplin, said “We all agree that Treetops Hospice is a really worthy cause to support. We all know someone who’s been affected by cancer, and it’s the support it offers to carers that’s so important too.”
This isn’t the first time that the company have supported their local hospice. Pat explains “We’ve chosen Treetops as our charity of the year, so we’re getting involved in all sorts of things to raise money. Last month we had a dress down day and raised £130, and we’ve donated an extra £100 to their Photo-Logo corporate challenge too.”
Tea for Treetops is a brand new fundraising opportunity for Treetops Hospice. At home, school or in workplaces, anyone can get involved by holding a tea party to raise money for their local hospice. Angela Stafford, corporate fundraiser at Treetops Hospice, said “We all love the chance to indulge in a bit of cake and have a natter with friends. So why not raise a little bit for your local hospice too? Routen Chaplin have been great supporters of Treetops this year, so we’re really pleased they’re joining in with Tea for Treetops. I think their team will be enjoying plenty of tea and cake!”
Treetops is offering a fundraising pack for everyone who registers to hold a tea party. It includes recipes, invitation cards and lots of ideas for making the most out of the party. It also includes a template and instructions for making your own bunting.
