ASDA

The speech sign and song song club won the vote to receive £200 by Asda Long Eaton's Customers in the Chosen by you given by us scheme. The group is based in Beeston but serves a wide area for pre-school children with communication difficulties. The club is run by two passionate music leaders Wendy and Roma, it is completely self funded through donations and events. The group works with chidren between the ages of two and five years. The chidren may or may not have a clear diagnosis such as Autism, Downs Syndrome, ADHD or specific language impairment. Roma & Wendy use clear simple language when speaking and singing, accompanied by signs and symbols. The group numbers are low allowing all children to participate and develop in their own way.
The club meet every Wednesday in Beeston during term time and welcome children from across the East Midlands.
