MASKED MEN RAID DRAYCOTT SHOP
Police are appealing for witnesses after a group of masked men forced their way into a shop in Draycott and stole a large amount of cigarettes. The burglary happened at the Family Shopper store in Derby Road at about 10.40pm on Wednesday, October 8th. Four men dressed in black clothing with their faces covered forced open the shutters to the store, which was closed at the time, and stole cigarettes from the cabinet. They then drove off from the scene in the direction of Long Eaton.
Detectives want to hear from witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity or a dark vehicle in the area to get in touch.

CANNABIS ARRESTS
Two people were arrested on suspicion of growing cannabis after police carried out a warrant at a house in Long Eaton. Officers searched a property in Pennine Close at about 9am on Thursday, October 9 and found what were believed to be cannabis plants inside.

A 26-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of producing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply. The suspected cannabis plants were seized by officers along with other equipment from the address.
