Erewash Borough Council and Reel Cinemas Ltd have teamed up again to bring free film screenings to Ilkeston’s historic Scala cinema every Saturday in December. Films will start at 10am, with doors opening at 9:45am. Seats will be available on a first come, first serve basis. The free film screenings are part of the council’s on-going town centre regeneration drive and is aimed to encourage people of all ages to enjoy a Saturday morning in the heart of Ilkeston before taking advantage of the nearby market and shops.
The films are as follows:

13th December – Frozen
20th December – The Lego Movie
27th December – The Boxtrolls

Councillor Geoffrey Smith, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Regeneration and Planning, says:
“Our free film screenings have been a huge hit, so it’s great to celebrate the Christmas season with some of this year’s biggest films. The films are sure to provide something for everyone and fun for all!”
