CHURCH WILNE ROTARY
The Chair of Church Wilne Rotary Club Revd. Gary Dundas has presented Ray Terry with the Rotary District 1220 Club Bulletin Award for 2014 at the club's recent meeting. For 4 years Ray has produced after each weekly meeting a club update on the meeting including speakers and presentations and emailed to all members. John Cook has also given valuable support and now Adrian Perkins has taken on this roll.
 
CASH STOLEN FROM VAN
Detectives are investigating a robbery in Breaston where a man stole cash from a van. At around 9.30am on Friday, January 30th, a man parked his van in Marlborough Road and got out. He was approached by a man who threatened him and demanded cash. The robber opened the van and stole a bag, which contained cash, before running off. He is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall and slim. He is of medium build and wore a grey hooded top with the hood up, grey jogging bottoms and trainers.

 MAN CHARGED WITH BURGLARY
A 25-year-old man has been charged with burglary after three homes in the same area of Ilkeston were broken into. Houses in Longfield Lane, Little Hallam Lane and Kingsway were burgled between 11.45pm on Monday, January 26th and 7am on Wednesday, January 28th. Ashley Rogers was arrested in connection with the alleged offences and has now been charged. The 25-year-old was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 4th.
