A LESSON IN REFURBISHMENT

The Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal, pictured second right, is joined by the Leader of Erewash Borough Council, Councillor Chris Corbett, second left, along with council officers and the staff and pupils of the St Laurence Pre-School to celebrate the re-opening of the school’s base following its £140,000 refurbishment.
Erewash Borough Council owns the Broad Street building in Long Eaton and leases it to St Laurence Pre-school and its after-school Club 11. The refurbishment was aimed at providing a better facility for the children to enjoy and included new ceilings, replacement floors, complete redecoration, new double glazed windows and improved toilet facilities.
St Laurence Pre-school provides an educational and development facility for young children to prepare them and to help them be better equipped for starting school.
