Disco Bars Group who have operated Manhattans on Clifford Street since 2011 took a previously closed venue and initially invested around £100k when they opened. Now they have acquired the closed down and previously problematic Buzz Bar/Chameleon site and have reconfigured the two buildings in order to create a contrasting offer for the people of Long Eaton.

On Friday 24th April the former “Buzz” site, 23 High Street, will relaunch as Society. This is intended to be a totally new concept for the town bringing city style, quality cocktails, craft ales and premium spirits tot own in a venue which will be Over 25’s only. It will open every night from 6pm until 2am and will feature a DJ at weekends playing 70s 80s 90s Soul and Motown music.

The Manhattans nightclub has been refurbished benefitting from a proper smoking area utilising the former Buzz Yard, new seating booths, a totally new bar layout, a new DJ console and flooring and a brand new lighting rig featuring a 1m wide mirrorball.

Total investment is over £100k. The sites will be run by manager Andi Wilshere who lives in Stapleford and has worked in the trade for many years.
