Nine year old, Jaime Smith of Grasmere Road Long Eaton has had 12inches of her hair cut off for charity.
Having grown her hair for 4 years it has always been Jaime's intention to donate to the Little Princess Trust.
Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls throughout the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
“After 4 years of tangles, tears and 'mum do I have to wash my hair' she has finally done it and I am extremely proud. She looks beautiful with her new look and is an inspiration” said mum, Denise.
Callum, of Altered Images Said, “Thank you Jaime for letting us give you the big chop! Well done your an inspiration. Thanks, great cause, a lovely girl.”
Jaime has already raised over £100 for the trust to manufacture the wigs that will help children with their recovery.
Family, friends and Jaime's school teachers at Longmoor Primary School have already generously donated. If you wish to support Jaime in raising more money for this extraordinary charity, please visit and search for JaimeSmith2005
