MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING STABBING

A man has been charged following a stabbing and assault in Long Eaton. Luke Brennan has been charged with wounding with intent, assault, theft and threatening a person with a blade in public. The 20-year-old, of Gibb Street, has appeared before magistrates in Derby and will attend the city’s crown court at a later date. At around 8.45am on Saturday, May 16, a 35-year-old man was assaulted by two men in Derby Road. He suffered a stab wound to his abdomen and cuts and bruises to his head.
A 35-year-old man was assaulted by two men in High Street, Long Eaton, at around 4.50pm on Friday, May 15. He was punched to the head and his mobile phone was stolen.
