Seven new map and information boards have been installed around West Park as part of Erewash Borough Council’s continued improvements to Long Eaton’s flagship park. The boards feature a detailed map of the layout of the park and its attractions along with information on its history and images of the park from years gone by. Direction signs have also been added at footpath junctions around the 127-acre park to help visitors, while new ‘welcome’ signs have also been installed at the Wilsthorpe Road and King Street entrances. Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“West Park is the largest park in Erewash and is enjoyed by thousands of visitors every year. This project to add the signs and information boards is the latest of many improvements we have made in recent years and is part of our drive to gain ‘Green Flag’ status for this lovely park.”
