SECOND MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING STABBING

A second man has been charged following a stabbing and assault against the same victim in Long Eaton. Jake Brennan has been charged with wounding with intent and assault and appeared before Southern Derbyshire Magistrate’s Court on Monday June 1st. Mr Brennan (19) is of Windermere Gardens, Long Eaton. His brother, Luke Brennan (20), of Gibb Street, Long Eaton, has previously been charged with wounding with intent, assault, theft and threatening a person with a blade in public.
The alleged incidents happened in the town on May 15th and 16th. A 35-year-old man has told police he was assaulted by two men on the first occasion and his phone was stolen. He alleges he was assaulted by two men the following day, suffering a stab wound to his abdomen and cuts and bruises to his head.
