Fitness fans have a weekend of free fitness classes in Ilkeston and Long Eaton to celebrate all things healthy on offer at Erewash Borough Council’s leisure centres – as well as the launch of virtual exercise classes. West Park Leisure Centre in Long Eaton will offer free back-to-back virtual classes on Saturday 19th September between 9am and 12noon to give residents the chance to try out the virtual group exercises that will be on offer at the Wilsthorpe Road centre.

In Ilkeston there will be a ‘Super Sunday’ 20th September when free live exercise classes will be on offer at Victoria Park Leisure Centre between 10am and 3pm - while at Rutland Sports Park there will be free virtual classes, Balanceability taster sessions, InBody health assessments and more. Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“We are throwing open our doors at these three leisure centres for a fabulously free weekend of exercise for residents to try out. It is all part of our commitment to encouraging more people to have a healthier lifestyle and is also a great way of showing residents the top quality facilities and classes that we have in this borough. The addition of virtual group exercise classes is very exciting and we expect them to be very popular. Go along to these free sessions to find out more!”
