The November meeting was opened by the Noble Grand Sister Margaret Gregory with Short Ritual. Twenty seven members and ten visitors were present. There were six apologies. As this was the District Officers Visit the format of the meeting was slightly different. Raffle tickets were sold on entry to the Lodge. Proceeds of this would go to the Provincial Grand Masters Charity.

After Roll Call and Homage led by Sister Val Wilson, a minutes silence was observed. The District Officers then entered the Lodge and were greeted by the Noble Grand who welcomed them and offered the hospitality of the Lodge. She then offered the Honours of the Order.
Following this the usual business was conducted. The Secretary read out notices of forthcoming events. The Welfare Officer had contacted twelve people this month, several of whom had still had ongoing health problems. She would keep in touch with these members over the next few weeks. The Noble Grand thanked members for their offers of a selection of food for the Christmas Social and Buffet next month. She also thanked members for the raffle prizes.
Sister Margaret then invited the District Officers to give their speeches. Firstly the Provincial Grand Master followed by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, then the Past Provincial Grand Master. Sister Christine Shelton gave a small speech and read out an amusing poem. All were applauded and thanked by the Noble Grand.
The Lodge meeting was then closed by Sister Margaret. The Raffle was drawn and there were many delightful prizes chosen amidst a great deal of good humour. The buffet was set out and everyone helped themselves to an array of tasty food. Jo the Landlady was thanked by the Noble Grand.
After the buffet, the result of the raffle was presented to the Provincial Grand Master and he was very touched with the amount of £75 which was handed to him. He thanked everyone and said this would benefit his charity greatly.
The evening closed at 9.45pm.
