Long Eaton Natural History Society - Wildlife Group's next meeting on Monday 14th March, 7.15pm at the library annex, off Broad Street, Long Eaton, is an illustrated presentation 'Experimenting with a new Camera' given by local artist Andy Christian. A few years ago Andy took up bird watching and later decided to purchase a 'good' camera to photograph birds with a view to painting them as a change from his usual preference for landscapes and still life. The evening should prove to be both interesting and varied with a contrasting slant from our usual wildlife talks.
Last month's presentation, 'A Botanist in Jersey' by Kenneth Balkow was very well received. Kenneth combined his knowledge of the plants and their habitats with reference to the island's geology and history and the varied landscapes to be encountered.
