LONG EATON MAN DIES IN A52 CRASH

A Long Eaton man has died and two people are seriously injured following a collision on the A52. The accident occurred near Risley at midnight on Saturday, March 5th. An Audi A6 collided with a Volkswagen Beetle, it is thought one of the vehicles could have been travelling in the wrong direction.
The 56-year-old Audi driver, Gary Gladstone who is from Long Eaton, died at the scene. The occupants of the Beetle, a 28-year-old man and 29-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening. They were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment. Police are investigating the circumstances around the collision and asks anyone with information, or anyone who saw the cars before the collision to call 101 quoting incident 1 of March 5th.
