Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery at a petrol station in Long Eaton. The incident occurred on Monday, February 29th at the Junction Service Station on Wilsthorpe Road. Three youths on push bikes approached the petrol station from the direction of the leisure centre. They entered the service station at around 9.45pm and threatened a member of staff but left the shop empty handed and rode off on their getaway bikes back towards the leisure centre. The youths were described as between 15-16 years old; they were all wearing hoods over their heads. One of them had a red scarf over his face and one was riding a white push bike.
