The stage was being erected in the back yard at the New Inn on Thursday ready for their Bank Holiday Weekend Festival. Bands appearing include Voodoo Moon, Rebel Rebel, Tick Tick Boom and a David Bowie Tribute Band.

Are holding a Charity Beer Festival from 29th April -1st May
in support of the Miscarriage Association. Theres a variety of Ales and Ciders, a charity raffle held on Sunday May 1st and childrens face painting / bouncy castle. In addition there will be Live Entertainment and food will be available.

There's plenty to do and see, races for the children, a dog show, food stalls, amusements and much, much more. The Gala opens at 11am, and continues until about 4pm. Entrance is free. Programmes cost £1 and are entered into a draw - with £100 in cash as first prize! Get your programme in advance from local shops, or on the day.

Dako Flying Angels The Dako Flying Angels make a welcome return to Breaston May Day Gala. Based in Sneinton, Nottingham, the DFA are a gymnastics display club performing everywhere from village galas like Breaston’s to gymnastic festivals across the world.

Dog Show Registration for our fun Dog Show opens at 11am. We have lots of classes: Puppy up to 6 months; Small dog; Medium dog;Large/Giant dog; Waggiest tail; Best rescue dog;Best child handler; The dog the judge would like to take home; and Best in Show for winners of each category. During the morning, lovable cuddly Newfoundland dogs will be in the Dog Show arena giving rides to children in little carts that they pull behind them. Bring your children.

Children's entertainments We've got bouncy castles, slides and rides, a model railway, a climbing wall, Punch and Judy and children's races - plenty to amuse the young ones. And Breaston Park Football Club will be running a penalty shoot-out competition too.

Marching Bands The Breaston Highlanders and the Nottingham Boys and Girls Brigade bands will be entertaining you with their marching and musical displays.
