CANNABIS GROWN IN SAWLEY FLAT

Officers from Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team have found a small cannabis grow in a flat in Sawley. On Wednesday, September 14th officers from the team, acting on community intelligence, attended the flat on Lock Lane, Sawley where they found four cannabis plants being grown. The occupant, a 45-year-old man, was questioned by the officers and received a police caution for cultivation of a class B drug.
PC Claire March from the team said: ”We attended the flat as a result of intelligence received from the community. The occupant fully co-operated with our action and has received a police caution.
“It is an offence to grow cannabis in these circumstances and having received the information we believe we have taken positive, appropriate and proportionate action.”
